ODU/Rep's 2015-16 Theatre Season
NARCISSUS: The Ultimate Selfie
This play is an exploration of how we see ourselves and how others see us. We want to learn more about our fundamental nature, purpose, and inner self. While on this path of discovery we looked for a singular character that would represent the concept of self-reflection and introspection. That character was Narcissus.
The stories of the ancient Greeks are timeless tales of human foibles that influence our perception of the world and are reflected in our modern day tale.
We no longer contemplate information as a singular topic. We multi-task and create a web of ideas that are reflected as extensions of ourselves. Our ancestors traveled west in covered wagons and lived long enough to see a man walk on the moon.
Today, computers, cellphones, and the information overload, puts us in a place where time seems to accelerate. Instantaneous connections to the rest of the world are commonplace. Yet within singular moments, time seems to stand still as we contemplate who we are and what purpose we serve.

Memorials to the Missing by Stephan Wyatt
ODU/REP'S 2015/16 SEASON: Memorials to the Missing was a ground-breaking theatrical production for the theatre program, presenting for the first time a staged radio play set in London in the 1940's during the war. It chronicles the struggle of British soldiers as they fought the first of many battles in the bloodiest war of the Twentieth Century.
